Objective
To research and develop an innovative hardware architecture based on Near-Memory Computing, aimed at designing a highly energy-efficient artificial intelligence accelerator chip for Edge computing environments.
The architecture seeks to reduce the energy consumption and latency associated with memory access, enabling local data processing without constant reliance on the cloud. The project also includes the efficient integration of analogue-to-digital converters, as well as the development of modelling, simulation, and validation tools using FPGA or hardware simulation environments.
NVISION’s Role
NVISION participates as a development and research partner, contributing to the research, design, and validation of the Near-Memory Computing architecture and its artificial intelligence inference capabilities for Edge devices.
