Objectives
HealthChain aims to transform healthcare through a demand-driven and user-centred innovation model. The project supports healthcare organisations in identifying predefined challenges and unmet needs and connects them with digital solution providers to co-create and pilot new solutions in real healthcare environments.
Its objective is not only to develop innovative digital health tools, but also to accelerate their adoption, scalability and market uptake. By connecting five regional ecosystems across Europe, HealthChain also establishes a Community of Practice that promotes knowledge exchange, interregional collaboration and the replication of successful digital health models across different healthcare systems.
NVISION role:
Within HealthChain, NVISION participated as a SME in the COMPASS pilot in Western Slovenia, focused on comprehensive monitoring and post-surgical support for patients’ physical and mental wellbeing.
NVISION contributed to the definition of high-level and subsystem requirements, the conceptual architecture and the design of study protocols through a co-creation methodology. We were also involved in the development of the mPatient mobile application and the mClinician web dashboard, the integration of wearable devices for patient activity monitoring, iOS and Android compatibility, pilot integration, data and security assurance, the Living Lab and proof of concept, pilot rollout and outcome assessment. NVISION also contributed to the development of the business model and go-to-market strategy.
Funding:
HealthChain is funded by the European Union through the Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument, known as the I3 Instrument, and managed by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, EISMEA. It involves regional ecosystems in Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia and the Netherlands.
