GARIN

Non-contact physiological monitoring for prolonged care support in wheelchairs

Objectives

The main objective of the GARIN project is to develop an intelligent wheelchair with and autonomous non-invasive health monitoring system and clinical supervision in the cloud, promoting prolonged care, independence, comfort and privacy. It will evaluate the added value in the patient-clinician relationship and develop artificial intelligence algorithms for filtering, modelling, anomaly detection and signal enhancement, adapted to the specific need of wheelchairs.

NVISION role:

NVISION coordinates GARIN, leading cloud IoMT integration, AI-driven radar signal processing, and biomarker development. It oversees clinical trials, ensures system validations, and focuses on delivering a reliable, user-friendly solution for remote physiological monitoring in prolonged care settings.
