It focuses on research and development of advanced digital tools for optimal planning and operation of hybrid networks, i.e. with coupling between electrical and thermal energy, to maximize the use of primary energy from different renewable sources combined in a multi-energy vector.
Objectives
HIBRID-E aims to develop a set of tools to increase energy efficiency and enable greater utilization of renewable energies from generation to consumption, with the following specific objectives: 1) Thermo-Electric Hybridization of smart energy grids, 2) digitalization of hybrid energy systems, 3) definition of hybrid energy services and interaction with the grid, and 4) validation of the developed tools in a controlled environment.
Our Rol
NVISION will focus on developing tools to optimize networks and utilize ICT and AI in multi-vector energy networks. It will develop mathematical models for network technologies, hybrid models for validation, and create libraries to incorporate them into a system optimization tool. It will also be responsible for designing a Battery Management System (BMS) to control thermal-electric hybrid batteries.
