Monitoring system for patients with bronchial asthma and their exposure to air pollutants commonly found in urban areas
NVISION - Champ Project

Objetives

This PhD aims to develop a monitoring system for patients with bronchial asthma and their exposure to air pollutants commonly found in urban areas.

Ultimately, this tracking platform aims to be the best companion for those suffering from bronchial asthma so they can better understand their own condition and avoid undesirable health situations.

It aspires to become part of the clinical environments for diagnostic and treatment protocols in pulmonary units.

Our Role

NVISION collaborates with the hospital Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, to ensure the clinical tests and trials on real patients as well as medical supervision. It is a great example of collaboration between a public and private entity.

Devices used:

  • CapMedic: asthma monitoring device for tracking usage and measuring lung function
  • Flow2: gas sensor
  • Fitbit Sense: physiological sensor
